Terms and conditions of the competition:

  1. The competition is organised and promoted by Nyeusi (hereinafter referred to as the “Charity”).
  2. The participants in this competition are herein referred to as “I”, “applicant”, “me” or “participant”.
  3. The song, the video footage as well as any other materials that the participant submits for the above mentioned competition in order to take part in the competition is hereinafter referred to as the “Entry” or “The Entry”.​
  4. I acknowledge that the purpose of the competition is to promote the Charity, the culture of the Charity’s beneficiaries and the charity’s vision, Nyeungana.
  5. I will bear all the costs associated with producing the entry.
  6. I hereby warrant that the entry is wholly original to me, and is not subject to any third-party rights or encumbrances. I also verify that the entry does not infringe the rights of any third party nor any statutory rights.
  7. I am free to enter into this agreement and hereby agree to indemnify the Charity with respect to all actions, claims, proceedings, damages and other liabilities which may be brought against or incurred by the Charity as a result of the breach of any of my warranties or obligations contained in this agreement.
  8. By taking part in this competition, participants hereby agree to waiving any right to The Entry, the participant also waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of The Entry.
  9. Participants entering the competition have ensured that they are of age to waive their rights to The Entry or have received consent from their parent or legal guardian.
  10. We may contact you directly for additional information, if we do, you may have a limited period of time to respond.
  11. Applications made on behalf of a group must have the consent of all members of the group before the entry is submitted.
  12. I understand the nature of the competition and in entering this competition, I hereby consent to the use of my entry under the terms and conditions stated within the rules and terms and conditions of the competition.
  13. I hereby warrant that I have not entered into any commercial, sponsorship or other agreement or arrangement with any person, firm or company in respect to the entry and will not do so.
  14. I agree to make myself available to the Charity and follow any reasonable instructions given by the Charity with regards to the competition at my own cost.
  15. I acknowledge and agree to fully comply with the rules, regulations, terms and conditions of this competition. I agree to observe all procedures and obey all reasonable instructions given to me in connection with the competition.
  16. I acknowledge that the information provided by me may be used in connection with the production and promotion of the competition. By signing up to the competition, I am agreeing that from time to time the Charity’s partners, sponsors or associated companies may contact me with information regarding relevant services they feel may be of interest to me. Should I wish to opt out from such communication, I shall contact info@nyeusi.org
  17. I acknowledge that the Charity reserves the right to amend the Rules (including without limitation verbally) or terminate the competition at any time without liability to me. The Charity’s decision shall be final.
  18. I am 18 or over 18 years old.
  19. All personal details and/or information given by me for this competition shall be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading. I undertake to inform the Charity immediately if any such information becomes inaccurate.
  20. I acknowledge that the Charity reserves the right to remove or disqualify me from the competition at their absolute discretion and that the decision of the Charity is final. I acknowledge that the Charity will have no liability to me if I am unable to complete the competition process.
  21. The Charity reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if they are deemed to be acting outside of the spirit of the competition. The Charity’s decisions shall be final.
  22. The Charity will endeavour to operate the competition by applying the Rules and the Terms and Conditions of the competition.
  23. If any provision of this Terms and Conditions shall be held or made invalid by a court decision, statute or rule, or shall be otherwise rendered invalid, the remainder of this Terms and Conditions shall not be affected thereby.
  24. We may extend these rules at anytime.
  25. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England.
