Give Black DecemberTM

Give Black December

December, the month when the world celebrates both Kwanzaa and Christmas is typically used as a period to give gifts to family and friends. But what about our community? If everyone thought of making a commitment to giving back to the community for the new year ahead will that not create a better community for all of us?

Well, we at Nyeusi believe it will, that is why we created the Give Black December initiative. Give Black December is a promotion to get people within the black community to make a specific commitment to giving back to our community in the new year ahead.

Why don’t you join us this December and make a commitment to either make a one off donation, a monthly donation or even volunteer to help the community with your skills and or time.

How can I get involved with the Give Black December Campaign?

It’s easy to get involved with the Give Black December Campaign, all you have to do is make a specific commitment to give back to our community in the month of December by either promising to make a donation (one off/regular) to Nyeusi in the coming year. You can also help raise funds for us, volunteer to help the community or if you are an artist why not take part in our Give Black December Music Competition.

Songwriting Competition: Rising Star, Culture Changing Song Award

Every year, unsigned artists are invited to write a song to help celebrate Give Black December. The artists are given strict guidelines that their song has to meet. The winner of this award is chosen by the public’s reaction to the song on social media (i.e. Number of views, shares and likes) or could be influenced by the judges discretion.
